OUR WEBSITE DESIGN PROCESS

From Project Brief to Launch in Approximately 2–3 Weeks

KaboomWebDesign handles the design, written content, relevant images, and foundational on-page SEO so you can focus on running your business. Every standard project follows a clear, step-by-step process — from planning your pages and confirming the estimate to connecting your domain and launching live.

Most standard projects target completion in approximately 2–3 weeks after required project information has been received and the project scope has been confirmed. Timing may vary based on project size, revisions, special functionality, integrations, and client responsiveness. An exact completion date is not guaranteed.

The 8-Step Website Design Process

Here is exactly what happens from the moment you reach out to the moment your website goes live — and beyond.

01

Plan Pages and Platform

We start by mapping out the pages your website needs and identifying the best platform for your business model, goals, and budget. Kaboomasite is recommended for many local businesses, but other platforms are available when your project requires a different solution.

02

Confirm Estimate

Using the $147-per-page pricing model, we calculate the estimated base website-build cost. Number of Pages × $147 = Estimated Build Cost. Any special functionality, ecommerce requirements, or third-party platform costs are identified at this stage before work begins.

03

Gather Business Information

We collect the details needed to build your website — your services, service areas, business hours, contact information, brand assets, and any preferences for layout, content, or features. The more detail you provide, the better we can match your website to your business.

04

Design the Website

KaboomWebDesign designs each page with your brand, audience, and goals in mind. Layouts are professional, modern, responsive, and built to look great on desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.

05

Write Content and Select Images

We write the website copy and source relevant images for each included page. Content is written to support both readability and foundational on-page SEO — including natural keyword integration, logical heading structure, and clear calls to action.

06

Review and Revise

You review the website and provide feedback. We work through a structured revision process to make sure the design, copy, and layout match your expectations before moving to launch. Additional revision rounds beyond the standard scope may affect the timeline and final price.

07

Connect Domain and Launch

Once the website is approved, we connect your domain — from Kaboom Domains or another compatible provider — and prepare the site for launch. For Kaboomasite projects, this includes SSL activation and confirming responsive layouts across devices.

08

Configure Selected Add-ons

If your project includes optional add-ons — such as Google Analytics 4 setup, Google Search Console configuration, sitemap submission, or basic conversion-event setup — these are configured after launch as part of the final project delivery.

Approximately 2–3 Weeks After We Receive Your Information

Most standard KaboomWebDesign projects target completion in approximately 2–3 weeks after the required project information has been received and the project scope has been confirmed. This is a target, not a guarantee — every project is different.

Factors That Can Affect the Timeline

  • Project size and total number of pages
  • Number of revision rounds
  • Special or custom functionality requirements
  • Third-party integrations or software connections
  • Ecommerce configuration complexity
  • Client responsiveness and information delivery speed
  • Premium applications or outside platform requirements

An exact completion date is not guaranteed. KaboomWebDesign will communicate expected milestones throughout the project.

How Your Platform Choice Shapes the Launch

The platform your website is built on affects how the domain connection, SSL activation, hosting setup, and launch steps work. KaboomWebDesign explains the setup process for your chosen platform before work begins.

Preferred for Many Local Businesses

Kaboomasite Launch Process

Kaboomasite is the preferred platform for many local businesses. Hosting, builder access, monthly support, maintenance, responsive layouts, SSL, XML sitemap support, and robots.txt support are all included for $47 per month. The domain connection supports Kaboom Domains and many other compatible providers. SSL activates automatically when a domain is connected. The launch process on Kaboomasite is straightforward — no separate hosting account or server configuration is required.

Third-Party Platform Launch Process

When a project uses WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, GoHighLevel, Hostinger, GoDaddy, or Weebly, the launch process depends on that platform's hosting, domain, and account requirements. Third-party platforms may have separate subscription fees, hosting fees, plugin or application fees, licensing costs, and maintenance requirements that vary by provider and project. KaboomWebDesign will explain the platform-specific setup steps during the planning stage.
